DISCLAIMER
It is essential to recognize that the CCQ and ÉKIP frameworks, along with the mandatory content, are built on complementary yet distinct intentions. The CCQ course operates in a more theoretical register, aimed at understanding and analyzing social realities in order to develop students' critical thinking. The ÉKIP framework and mandatory content, on the other hand, are rooted in a more practical approach, oriented toward the observable development of personal and social competencies (PSC) in each student's daily personal growth.
As such, the CCQ course alone cannot serve to develop PSCs, which require modelling and introspection — a posture that is not appropriate in the CCQ context. On the contrary, the CCQ course calls for a step back in order to observe various social realities with objectivity. Therefore, while certain points of convergence exist, CCQ remains a space for reinvesting PSCs that will first need to have been explicitly taught in another context.
