Positive Mental Health: The Voices of Students in General Adult Education and Vocational Training

This companion guide offers ready-to-use activities for facilitating a workshop with a school-based team or students in general and vocational education programs, based on a short video that highlights the voices of eight students. Intended for school staff, community partners, and public health teams, it offers questions and discussion points centered on five themes: positive mental health, welcoming new students, stress management, balancing school, work, and personal life, and academic motivation.

In the spring of 2024, the Montreal Regional Public Health Directorate produced a short video featuring the voices of eight Montreal students enrolled in general adult education or vocational training (FGA-FP). The goal was to hear from them about what positively contributes to their mental health and their success in their academic journey.
