In this information bulletin, we will be talking about physical activity and the barriers cisgender girls (i.e. whose gender identity matches the sex they were assigned at birth) may face during their teens when participating in physical activities.

When we talk about physical activity in teens, we often think about games, competitions and tournaments. But did you know that the benefits movement has on teens can be observed well before the physical activity reaches a competitive level?

We’re all familiar with the positive impacts of physical activity. However, the benefits of participating in multiple sports activities during adolescence is a less familiar topic. Whether your teen isn’t very active or he or she is very active, it’s a good idea to suggest they participate in a mix of activities.
